Our Story

Starting something often begins with personal experiences, and for me, it was a frustrating struggle to learn what to expect from the menopause transition and to access perimenopause care. What should have been a straightforward process—finding local healthcare professionals who could guide me—turned into a maze of confusion and disappointment. It seemed like every mid-life woman I spoke to was fighting the same battle, trying to piece together a support system on their own.

I realized that this wasn't just my problem; it was a collective struggle faced by countless women. This realization set me on a mission. Over the next year, I equipped myself with knowledge from every available source—books, blogs, podcasts, social media feeds, and web seminars. I asked my mother, aunts, cousins and friends about their own personal menopause journeys and quickly discovered it wasn’t a question they had ever been asked before. I found it to be confusing, conflicting, time-consuming and utterly overwhelming. I felt like I might have to find support remotely, or from providers in other parts of the country. But that didn’t make sense. I had to believe that there were experts in caring for and educating women through menopause in the Boulder area. So I spent months finding and meeting with the mavens you’ll meet at our events. Although I was gratified to find the local experts I knew must be here, I knew this piecemeal approach shouldn't be the norm. Women deserve better.

Our vision is simple - to Put Menopause on the Map.

We will solve ignorance, foster connections, and build a supportive community that empowers each woman to chart her own unique menopause map. We understand that while menopause is a shared experience, it is also deeply personal, with no single path or easy answers.

We believe that every woman deserves to be equipped with the knowledge and understanding of menopause's impact, along with the available treatment options. We are committed to facing the challenges and obstacles women currently encounter during this transition and providing the support they need.

We would love to welcome you into the movement if you see something of yourself in what we’ve described!
